Rebecca Redner

Rebecca Redner (Wheelock’08) of Brookline, Mass., coauthored three chapters in A Different Spirit: Creating Meaningful B’nai Mitzvah for Children with Disabilities (Behrman House, 2026). “My chapters include a checklist that clergy and educators can use with families to envision b’nei mitzvah (a Jewish coming of age ceremony) for children with disabilities, a description of supports for teaching students with diverse abilities to decode Hebrew, and a case study about two nonspeaking students preparing for their b’nei mitzvah,” she writes.
