Phyllis Zagano

Phyllis Zagano (COM’70) of Lido Beach, N.Y., published Just Church: Catholic Social Teaching, Synodality, and Women (Paulist Press, 2023). Phyllis’ longtime advocacy on behalf of women becoming deacons in the Catholic Church led to her 2016 appointment to the Pontifical Commission for the Study of the Diaconate of Women.
