Peter Rawitsch

Peter Rawitsch (Wheelock’77) of Wilmington, N.C., is cofounder and lead advocate at Love Our Children N.C., an organization dedicated to ending exclusionary discipline for young learners in the state. “We are working to change harmful suspension and seclusion policies and statutes,” he writes. “We believe all children should receive the help and support they need in school.” Peter published an online article about the group’s new digital resource, which instructs citizens on how to change their local boards of education’s exclusionary policies.
