Mary Walling

Mary Walling (CAS’69) of Hudson, Mass., writes, “On May 6, 2018, I walked 20 miles in the 50th annual Walk for Hunger, the oldest continuous pledge walk in the country. In 1969, I volunteered to make sandwiches for the first Walk for Hunger and I walked the route for the first time in 1970. I raised $9,501 in 2018 for hunger relief in Massachusetts, and my total raised over the years is very close to $100,000. I’m proud to be the only ‘First Walker’ who still walks and completes the 20 miles, and I’ll continue for as long as I am able.” Email Mary at maryritzwalling@gmail.com.
