Mary Coday Edwards

Mary Coday Edwards (GRS’97) of Flagstaff, Ariz., published To Travel Well, Travel Light (SBNR Press, 2022), winner of a 2023 Nautilus Book Award. In the 1990s, Mary moved with her young family to Pakistan, where she was forced to confront her restrictive Christian worldview. Her memoir chronicles an outward journey in Pakistan, where she lived in Peshawar province and worked as a consultant for an Afghan NGO, and an inward journey—a struggle with patriarchal morality and inherited religious values.
