Luis Ruzo

Luis Ruzo (CAS’70) of Orinda, Calif., earned a PhD in chemistry at Michigan State University in 1974 before going on to complete postdoctoral work at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, and the University of Amsterdam in the following two years. Luis was a research chemist at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1977 to 1987 and was founder and managing director of PTRL Laboratories until 2014. These days, he is founding director of ECYART, a foundation in Lima, Peru, devoted to education and research. Email him at 1953lima@gmail.com.
