Lisa Hiton

Lisa Hiton (COM’09) of Deerfield, Ill., was the founder and codirector of Queer Poem-a-Day, a special daily podcast series for Pride Month, featuring a recording of a poem written and read by a contemporary LGBTQIA+ poet for each day of June 2021. The limited-run series was released on the Deerfield Public Library podcast feed. The project also featured other prominent literary artists who attended BU: Jill McDonough (GRS’98) of Jamaica Plain, Mass., Richie Hofmann (UNI’09) of Atlanta, Ga., Rachel Mennies (CAS’08) of Chicago, Ill., and Carl Phillips (GRS’93) of Saint Louis, Mo.
