Kirk Liponis
Kirk Liponis (COM’83) of Gallatin Gateway, Mont., released a debut album, The Adventures of Dirk Livingston, through Dudley Creek Studio with his indie rock band, 5 Left Feet. The album is inspired by the comic book series of the same name, also created by Kirk, and follows the son of CIA agents as he navigates “a world full of eccentric characters, challenges, and unexpected twists,” the author writes. The band 5 Left Feet draws from a range of genres—like indie rock, heavy metal, surf punk, and country—while exploring themes of self-discovery, existential curiosity, and resilience.
