Josh Duclos
Josh Duclos (GRS’18) of Concord, N.H., published Wilderness, Morality, and Value (Lexington Books, 2022), a book of philosophy that began as a dissertation project with Daniel O. Dahlstrom, the John R. Silber Professor of Philosophy at BU’s College of Arts & Sciences. The publication has received positive reviews from the Journal for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture, and Notre Dame Philosophical Reviews, as well as from eminent scholars at Oxford University, George Mason University, and others. In 2022, Josh went to Ukraine, first offering tuition-free English language lessons in Lviv and later volunteering as a lecturer at three Ukrainian universities. He returned in 2023 and again this year after being awarded a grant by the American Philosophical Association to lead an undergraduate seminar in political philosophy in Ukraine.
