Jon Golinger

Jon Golinger (CAS’92) of San Francisco, Calif., an environmental attorney and a political campaign manager, writes that he had “a fertile, creative year in 2017,” publishing his first book and his first play. “The book, Saving San Francisco’s Heart (Bay Guardian Books, 2017), is an action manual for the resistance that takes readers on a roller coaster ride through the wild world of San Francisco politics, creating a road map that shows fed-up citizens and fired-up activists how to fight back—and win. The play,Painting Coit Tower, tells the colorful story of the artists who painted the famous Coit Tower murals 85 years ago, exploring themes of free speech vs censorship, the promise and challenge of publicly funded arts, and the struggles creative people face to express themselves freely while also making a living.” Visit www.JonGolinger.com, or email jongolinger@gmail.com.
