John Torday (CAS’68) of Philadelphia, Pa., published Conscious Life: Bridging Cellular Origins, Quantum Realities, and Cosmic Connections (Springer Nature, 2025). “It is an expansion of my work on the concept of cell consciousness, which was motivated by a groundbreaking experiment showing the necessity of the force of gravity on evolution, merging physical and physiologic for the first time empirically,” he writes.
