Jessica Henkle (CAS’08) of Lake Oswego, Ore., published Without Your Father (Unsolicited Press, 2026), a series of more than 100 vignettes chronicling the year following her father’s death. Written from an intimate, second-person perspective, the memoir “depicts the oddities and absurdities of navigating sudden loss, along with the utter devastation of it: the daily, sometimes hourly, trudging forward in a life that has become unrecognizable now that one person is no longer in it,” she writes.
