Jeff Flaster

Jeff Flaster (GRS’95) of Monroe, N.J., wrote Following Jimmy Valentine, an original audiobook-cum-musical based on the O. Henry short story “A Retrieved Reformation.” A recording of the performance—featuring a West End cast and a propulsive, genre-bending score—was released in February of 2026. Never before staged or filmed, Following Jimmy Valentine is a new way for audiences to take in musical storytelling: “a book that sings,” according to its author. At its heart is jewel thief Jimmy Valentine, the police detective hot on his trail, and the woman offering him a fresh start.
