Herman O. Kelly, Jr. (STH’83) labor union. of Baton Rouge, La., qualified in four events in the Louisiana Senior Olympic Games. He is the state champion in the 50-meter backstroke and 50-meter breaststroke, a silver medalist in the 50-meter butterfly, and a bronze medalist in the 100-meter independent medley. Herman, an adjunct instructor of African American studies at Louisiana State University, will represent Louisiana in the National Senior Games in Pittsburgh in July 2023.
