George Mantis
George Mantis (ENG’95) of Brookline, Mass., writes that his career has taken him across the nation, from Boston to Atlanta, Long Beach, Calif., Ogden, Utah, Huntsville, Ala., and now back to Boston. He has worked with NASA’s space shuttle, Orion, Ares I, and space launch system vehicles; numerous Army, Navy, and Air Force weapons programs; and advanced technology research for ballistic missile defense. He works at the Draper Laboratory in Cambridge, Mass., as a principal member of the technical staff. “Though I’ve found happiness wherever I ended up, Boston is the only place that ever truly felt like home,” he says. Once he and his wife are settled, George plans to make the BU Alumni Association his new hobby.
