Diane Mehta

Diane Mehta (GRS’94) of Brooklyn, N.Y., published Happier Far (University of Georgia Press, 2025), a linked essay collection that takes a humorous look at the journey to becoming a writer and the helpful—or sometimes detrimental—role families play in the process. Her essays explore marriage, divorce, and single parenthood, while juggling her Indian Jain and Jewish American heritage.
