Barbara Kent Lawrence

Barbara Kent Lawrence (Wheelock’98) of Brunswick, Maine, published her ninth book, Both Sides of the Pond: My Family’s War, 1933–1946 (Barbara Kent Lawrence, 2025), which tells the tale of Barbara’s mother and uncle, two Brits whose wartime and post-World War II adventures led them to contrasting lives on separate continents. “My other news is that my longtime partner, Bob, and I moved to Maine,” she writes. “These two events are not unrelated, as our decision to downsize gave me more time to finish the book.” Learn more at barbaralawrence.com.
