Alyson Sheppard

Alyson Sheppard (COM’08) of Gulf Shores, Ala., has launched Edible Lower Alabama, a seasonal print magazine dedicated to food and drink, from Birmingham, Ala., to the Gulf Coast. She is publisher and editor in chief. Previously, she worked for national publications, such as Playboy, Popular Mechanics, Esquire, and GQ. In 2017, she was a finalist for the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Award for Best Cocktail & Spirits Writer and a finalist for the International Association of Culinary Professionals Award for Narrative Beverage Writing.
