Lara Ehrlich

Lara Ehrlich (UNI’03) of Medford, Mass., is the winner of the 2018 Red Hen Press Fiction Award for her short story collection, Animal Wife, which will be published by Red Hen in 2020. The award was judged by New York Times best-selling author Ann Hood, who says of the collection, “From the first sentence, Animal Wife grabbed me and never let go. Sensual and intelligent, with gorgeous prose, it made me dizzy with its exploration and illumination of the inner and outer lives of girls and women.” Lara is a senior editor/writer at BU and has a three-year-old daughter with her husband, Douglas.
