University Service Center to ease navigation of administrative shoals Navigating BU’s administrative offices will be less frustrating than in the past beginning this semester, with the help of staff at the new University Service Center. The center, located on the ground floor at 881 Commonwealth Ave., is designed to assist students with the type of complicated issues that previously would have required visits to several campus administrative offices. The center’s staff is trained in multiple aspects of University administration and will provide individual assistance to students, with the goal of solving as many issues there as possible. “We’re not going to simply replicate what is done in other offices,” says Denise Mooney, the assistant vice president for enrollment, who is directing the center. “Rather, we’ll concentrate on students who have complex, multifaceted problems, such as one who is changing from full- to part-time status and is confused about the implications the change has for his student account and financial aid award.” For more information, visit the University Service Center homepage or call 358-1818.
