Come to Academic Career Night on November 13th!

Are you wondering how to find a job in academia after grad school?  Want to hear some advice from young professors who recently went through the process?  Then come to the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Student Committee’s (BME GSC) first Academic Career Night!

The focus of the Academic Career Night is to allow graduate students interested in academia a chance to ask questions to current academic professionals about how they reached where they are in their careers.  The event will consist of two panels of academic professionals: one with more experienced researchers/professors and one with more junior researchers/assistant professors.  The idea is that the more senior researchers can discuss what they look for in Post-Doc candidates and how they can help refer their current students to other labs, while the more junior faculty can discuss the process they more recently went through to get their positions and what they learned from the experience.
