Yan is developing and applying various computational approaches to detect the molecular signatures associated with immune response in order to predict vaccine efficacy based on the transcriptional profile.
Yan works in Prof. Jill Mesirov’s lab at the BROAD Institute of MIT and Harvard.
Research Advisor: Jill Mesirov
Yan has given oral presentations of his vaccine efficacy research at the annual meetings of the Human Immunology Project Consortium (HIPC) at the NIAID/NIH, the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH 2012) in Atlanta, Georgia and the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS 2013) in Boston. He was also selected to give a talk at the International Workshop of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology (IBSB 2013) in Kyoto, Japan.
