The emergence of artificial intelligence systems challenges every industry — few more so than the field of producing films and television. On one hand, AI offers creators the ability to tell stories through amazing visuals with lower costs. However, AI can lead to inaccuracies, plagiarism and job loss. How should those in the film and television industry grapple with this technology’s promise and peril? Join Boston University’s College of Communication for this timely discussion as part of the COMtalks virtual event series. Panel: Chris Williams (CGS'91, COM'93), Founder & CEO, Pocket.watch; Rachel Antell, Co-Director, Archival Producers Alliance; Avi Savar (COM'95), former President, SUZY, and Executive Chairman, Boardstream.ai. Moderator: Craig Shepherd, Chair, Department of Film and Television, College of Communication, Boston University.
