Jaewook Kim, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor at the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston, USA. He joined Hilton College in 2017. Dr. Kim previously served as an assistant professor and a hospitality program coordinator at St. John’s University in NYC. He earned his B.B.A from Sejong University (South Korea), M.S. in Hospitality Management from the University of Houston, and Ph.D. in Hospitality Management from Iowa State University. Dr. Kim has published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings in top-tier hospitality academic journals and conferences. He has taught more than 10 courses in the past five years, including hospitality management strategies, hospitality entrepreneurship, and gaming and casino operation management. Industry projects have included total revenue management, operational efficiency in the lodging industry, pricing and revenue management, and risk strategies with diverse industry partners. Additionally, over the past six years, his work has ranged from the casino industry to diplomatic public services, all of which have been directly converted to research topics and teaching subjects.
