Theresa Davies, PhD

Titles: Assistant Dean Graduate Medical Sciences, Program Director, MS in Oral Health Sciences, Clinical Associate Professor, Medical Sciences & Education

Dr. Davies brings over 40 years of experience to Boston University, combining a strong research background with a deep commitment to mentorship. Her early work focused on Alzheimer’s disease, investigating the role of platelets and the blood-brain barrier in amyloid deposition. More recently, her scholarship has explored educational access, admissions equity, and curriculum innovation, including cultural competence and mobile learning tools.

As the MS in Oral Health Sciences pipeline program director, she has championed efforts to increase diversity in dentistry. As GMS Assistant Dean, she supports students academically and professionally and serves as liaison to Disability & Access Services advocating for inclusive learning environments. She is known for her approachable style and passion for helping students achieve their goals.
