Phani Deepti Jakkilinki

My name is Phani Deepti Jakkiilinki. I am from India. I began my PhD in University of Rhode Island (URI) and finished my first year in the nutrition program. I am on leave of absence in India until I find a funded PhD program to transfer to. I completed my MS Nutrition and metabolism degree from Boston University and I have a B.Sc. Biomedical Science degree from University of Guelph.

While waiting for a research opportunity in USA, I joined my uncle’s IT company in Bangalore, India and spend time with my cousin and sisters. In the IT company, I work as a business analyst where I am learning about the software development lifecycle and storage of large sets of data and data management. It is a project in the banking and financial domain with some math. The database structure being developed can be applied to blood test reports and NHANES.
