Michael Broyles   michael_Broyles bw cropped Michael Broyles, Professor of Musicology at The Florida State University, specializes in American music and music of the Classic era, especially Beethoven. He is particularly interested in placing American music in American history and culture.  Broyles most recent book, Beethoven in America, examines the ways Beethoven has been viewed, interpreted and used in American society, especially in popular culture.
Jeremiah McGrann
mcgrann Associate Professor of the Practice of Music; Assistant Chair, Music Department; and Director of Undergraduate Studies, Music at Boston College.  He is the author of a critical edition of Beethoven’s Mass in C published under the auspicies of the Beethoven Haus, Bonn, as part of the new complete edition of Beethoven’s works.
