Vijay Gupta

Hometown: Perrysburg, OH

Bio: Hi, I’m Vijay! I am a student at the College of Fine Arts (CFA) majoring in French Horn Performance and minoring in the French Language. I’m from both Perrysburg, OH and Atlanta, GA, but I love the city of Boston so, so much. I have played horn for 9 years now, and also have experience with other instruments, most notably mellophone and baritone saxophone. I did marching and pep band in high school, and I anticipate to do pep band for all four years here at BU. When I’m not in Pep Band, I enjoy listening to music, learning about languages, watching hockey, playing video games, or riding public transport. I’m excited to see what my second year in Pep Band is like, and I can’t wait to meet you!

What is your favorite part of being a band member? My favorite part about being in the BU Bands is getting to be part of such a kind and welcoming community. I’ve made so many friends in band my first year, and getting to come together every week to make music with them and hype up our team and student section is just such a unique experience that I look forward to all the time.
