Bio: Hi! I’m Julia, your Pep Band baritone section leader! I’m from Toronto, Canada and am a senior majoring in marine science. I’ve been playing baritone for 8 years, but my original instrument is actually drums. I joined pep band in my first year and have loved every moment of it! Outside of band, you can find me in one of our marine science labs, reading a book, playing soccer or playing in my rock band. I’m so excited for another great year of band!

What is your favorite part of being a band member? My favorite part of being a band member is being able to play for such high-level sports games and being able to energize the crowd. Especially for hockey, you can really feel our impact in the arena and it is amazing to be able to contribute to the atmosphere as we cheer on our terriers. I have also made so many great friends in band and have been so lucky to be part of such an amazing community of talented, enthusiastic musicians.
