Cooper Blankenship

Hometown: Palmer, Alaska

Bio: Hey y’all! My name is Cooper (he/him) — I’m a drummer and multi-instrumentalist from Alaska, here in Boston studying scoring for film and video games at Berklee and doing Pep Band here at BU. I’ve been playing drums since I was eleven years old — in that time I’ve been most influenced by rock, pop, electronic, and gospel drumming styles.
This will be my second year in Pep Band, and my first as Rhythm Section Leader. I’m looking forward to meeting all the new members and making another season’s worth of epic moments come to life.

What is your favorite part of being a band member? Getting to meet and connect with so many amazing musicians of such diverse backgrounds and influences and collaborating to set the tone for our teams!
