Bio: HI! My name is Cecilia (cc) Teigeiro (she/her), and I’m a sophomore majoring in Biology in CAS on the pre-med track! I’ve been playing the saxophone for 10 years (omg). I joined marching and pep band my freshman year and have since fallen in love with the BU Athletic bands. I served as Drum Major for two years in high school along with being section leader for both band and choir. I was recently elected Secretary of Kappa Kappa Psi and I work for the BU Emergency Medical Service along with Beauport Ambulance Service. Outside of band you can find me doing karaoke, running on the esplanade, hanging with friends into the wee hours of the night, and playing pickleball with your Clarinet Section Leader Iker Santiago Pérez!
What is your favorite part of being a band member? My favorite part of being in the BU Athletic Bands is the opportunity it gives for friends! In my major it’s very easy to be surrounded by the same few people at all times, but through band I’ve been able to meet people in every different college in every different stage of their major. The people I’ve met through BU bands are some of my best friends now!
