Bio: Hi! My name is Sophia, your Pep Band manager and flute section leader! I’m a junior dual degree student studying Data Science and Media Science. I’ve been playing the flute for over 10 years, and I’m so excited for this upcoming pep season! Outside of band, you can find me watching any and all sorts of hockey (Go Avs, Allez Victoire!), knitting, or running on the Esplanade.
What is your favorite part of being a band member? My favorite part of being a member of the pep band is the environment that we bring to all of our events. Whether it’s a hockey game, basketball game, or community event, we always bring a high level of energy and musicianship that makes BU band so special. Pep has also formed such an amazing community, which has allowed me to find some of my closest friends at BU!
