Why should I go?
For the 10th year running, Seaport Sweat is bringing free, accessible outdoor fitness classes to the Boston community this summer, led by an experienced group of local instructors. The program features yoga, pilates, sculpt, Zumba, athletic conditioning, and boot camp training.
Head to the Seaport Common after work at 5:30 pm on Tuesday for an intentional yoga sculpt class, where Shazie Senen (who you may recognize from her popular Instagram page) will blend yoga, strength training, and quick cardio bursts into an energizing 45-minute workout. Not only is this class open to all levels of fitness, but it’s also set to a beat-driven playlist—perfect for music lovers.
Then at 6:30 pm, prepare to push your body to its limits with Brando Perez in a high-energy, total bodyweight, athletic HIIT class. Also open to all fitness levels, this class prioritizes functional movement and strength training, all while using an interval cardio format to target every muscle in your body, from head to toe.
Don’t forget to stay hydrated as you get your sweat on by visiting the free hydration station in Seaport Common next to The Current. Here you can grab a quick sip of water and refill your bottle—and there’s even a dog bowl for thirsty pups.
Though it’s not required, we recommend you bring a yoga mat, as Seaport Sweat does not provide equipment.
