Three Essential Cybersecurity Tips for Students
As Cybersecurity Awareness Month approaches, what Terriers need to keep in mind
Attention, Terriers! October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month and to prepare, we asked content creator and advertising major Mari Regalado (COM’26) to share some valuable tips provided by BU IS&T to help you strengthen your cybersecurity.
Among the recommendations:
- Level up your password. Your BU password deserves to be the star of its own show. Don’t use the same password you use for other accounts. You can update your BU password here.
- Master the art of link detection. Your inbox could quickly turn into a treasure trove of links. Hover over those links and confirm they’re leading you where they promise.
- Dance with Duo Mobile. Duo Mobile helps ensure your BU accounts are secure. It’s quick and it’s easy.
