  1. I bought a plant with velvet leaves and purple flowers. All I remember of the name is B……Ochina. The leaves are constantly turning brown, even the new leaves. I really don’t want to throw the plant away, for I liked the flowers and the contrasting leaves. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    1. Lyle, could you be referring to the Tibouchina plant? Typically the leaves on this plant will turn brown due to humidity/ too much sun. Try increasing the water intake and moving out of the sun. The plant should be watered so the soil is moist to the touch, If the problem persists, try increasing the acidity in the soil. I hope this helps!
