There are 2 comments on SED’s Jenkins Honored with Metcalf Award

  1. While the geographical distance is substantial now as I am teaching overseas, nevertheless I feel quite close in spirit and admiration for my wonderful colleague. I have been indeed privileged to have worked with Carol at SED all these years…and, most importantly, children in so many schools are so much the better in many ways from having teachers who have studied within Carol’s expansive influence. Congratulations and warm wishes for the days ahead. Doug

  2. Carol Jenkins expertise, dedication, and professionalism has been an inspiration to me for 25 years. While embracing high standards, she never lost sight of the human, and of the humanitarian notion of education as a process that serves all and uplifts all. As professor, teacher, mentor, and role model helping so many educators to learn to teach content and caring values, we know her work will ripple through society for decades to come, and countless children will be better off for it. Congratulations on this great recognition for one who never sought the spotlight but who so deserves it.
