Casting company seeks extras for Boston-based Anna Faris film

Local casting company C. P. Casting has issued a call for paid extras for a Boston-based film featuring Anna Faris, of Scary Movie fame. Titled What’s Your Number? the movie is set to film in the area from May 17 through July 14; it is the story of a young woman (Faris) who, with the help of her womanizing next-door neighbor (Chris Evans), decides to visit all her former boyfriends in the hope of finding the man of her dreams.
Anyone over 18 can apply as a background extra at the Boston Teachers Union Hall in Dorchester today, Friday, May 7, between 2 and 7 p.m. C. P. Casting stresses that there is no advantage to showing up early and asks that applicants print a size card from its Web site and bring a recent photo or headshot and a résumé.
The casting call is for all ethnicities. Needed for these paid jobs are young business types, upscale restaurant patrons and waitstaff, upscale “ladies who lunch,” young hip nightclub goers, and Barney’s department store shoppers. The film’s three wedding scenes require extras, including blue collar, Italian, and young corporate guests, as well as bridesmaids, groomsmen, singers, and wedding bands to play classical rock and R&B. C. P. Casting urges applicants to come looking their best.
C. P. Casting is accepting applications for movie extras today, Friday, May 7, from 2 to 7 p.m., at Boston Teachers Union Hall, 180 Mount Vernon St., Dorchester, Mass., near the north entrance of the Bayside Expo Center.
