Service Recognition Dinner Honors BU Employees
Events recognize staff with 10 or 25 years of BU service

Each year at the annual Service Recognition Dinner, Boston University honors employees who have completed 25 years of service, as well as employees who are retiring from the University. Those who have made the 10-year mark are feted at a luncheon, this year on Friday, March 19; the dinner for 25-year honorees and retirees is on Monday, March 22. Both events will be held in Metcalf Hall at the George Sherman Union.
Any eligible employee who is planning to retire this year, but who has not notified his or her dean or vice president, may call Josephine Tompkins, an employee relations representative in the Office of Human Resources, at 617-353-4485, by February 29, 2008, to be included in this year’s program. Invitations will be mailed in February to employees who have completed 10 or 25 years of service by June 30, 2008, and employees who have announced their plans to retire from the University. If you are planning to retire this year and wish to be recognized as a retiree at this year’s dinner, you must be at least 55 years of age and have completed at least 10 years of service by June 30, 2008.
If you have any questions regarding your service eligibility or any other questions regarding these events, please contact your employee relations representative or Josephine Tompkins in the Office of Human Resources.
