New Sounds from Today’s Composers
Fuel a taste for the modern with a performance by contemporary music ensemble ALEA III on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Tsai Center.
ALEA III, the contemporary music ensemble in residence at BU, will perform a program featuring four diverse music theater works by young and established composers from the United States and Europe on Wednesday, December 6, at the Tsai Performance Center.
Music Director Theodore Antoniou, a College of Fine Arts music professor, will conduct pieces by Karl Amadeus Hartmann, Stathis Gyftakis, William Antoniou, and Gyorgy Ligeti. Soloists will include Margarita Syngeniotou, mezzo soprano, and Tassos Apostolou, bass-baritone. The concert, which is free and open to the public, begins at 8 p.m.
