Name: Ryan Anderson
From: Middleboro, Massachusetts
School: College of Fine Arts
Major: Stage management, design, and production

What convinced you to go to BU?

Living only an hour south of Boston, I have always been drawn to the city. I’ve loved visiting there as a kid and knew that Boston was the place for me. I was also very interested in the University’s connection to the Huntington Theatre Company, which is a great opportunity to network and make connections for jobs after college.

What are you most excited about coming to college?

I am very excited about living in the city and being on my own.

What kinds of activities do you want to become involved in?

Obviously, taking part in the theatrical productions at BU. I am also very interested in FYSOP.

Why did you want to become involved in the Facebook site BU2010?

Facebook is a major networking tool, which is something that is vital in my future line of work. It’s all about who you know, and Facebook is a great opportunity to do just that. I am the only person from my school attending BU as a member of the class of 2010, and Facebook has allowed me to be heading into orientation/move-in day with a handful of friends.

What is one of the goals of your first year at BU?

Network as much as possible and obtain a summer job for after my first year.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Getting into BU, my first choice school.

What will be your first stop when you start exploring the city of Boston?

I’ve already been pretty much all over the city, but my first stop would most likely be Yawkey Way and Fenway Park.

If you are in the Class of 2010 and want to be featured on BU Today, email today@bu.edu.
