After 15 years with the Boston University Police Department, Chief Robert Shea retired in December.

Shea headed the police department in Belmont, Mass. for 12 years before becoming deputy chief of the BUPD in 1992. He was appointed chief in 1998.

“Bob Shea provided many years of top-quality service to Boston University,” says Peter Fiedler, the vice president of administrative services, who oversees the BUPD. “He maintained the excellent reputation that the department has, both locally and nationally.”
