BU grad inspired Wonder Woman’s character
Elizabeth Holloway Marston (LAW'18) was the inspiration for the comic book character Wonder Woman.

William Moulton Marston, a psychologist already famous for inventing the polygraph, invented a superhero who would triumph with love. His wife, Elizabeth Holloway Marston (LAW’18), insisted the superhero be a woman. Wonder Woman made her début in December 1941 in All Star Comics under William’s nom de plume, Charles Moulton.
