A sun drawing travels the walls of the Photonics Center
This "sun drawing" on the walls of the Photonics Center, changes with the weather.

Jane Saad-Cook created this “sun drawing,” titled Athanor, especially for the Photonics Center. As sunlight moves across its mirrored metals and optically coated glass, different yet subtle images are slowly created as the light breaks into its component colors.
Athanor can be viewed at the Photonics Center’s 7th, 8th, and 9th-floor atrium, 8 St. Mary’s St. Saad-Cook’s work has been displayed at the Smithsonian Institution and the American Astronomical Society, both in Washington, D.C., and in various other public and private collections.
