Presidential search committee member MaryGrace Henry (COM, CAS'07) reflects on a busy year.

While most students were reading about BU’s search for a new president in the news, MaryGrace Henry (COM & CAS ’07) was helping review the qualifications of job candidates. She was the student representative on the presidential search committee that recommended Robert Brown for the BU’s top job this summer.
The ambitious junior from Mt. Olive, New Jersey, says of her experience: “It helped me meet people who are in charge of the University…it gave me a better view of the University and its staff.” She and the other members of the search committee, which included faculty members, deans, and trustees, voted unanimously to recommend Brown from a large pool of applicants based on his scholarly credentials and administrative accomplishments as the Provost of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
