MED student emissary to Zambia tells her story
MED student Diane Chan writes about her brush with HIV and work as an emissary in Zambia for Elle.

Diane Chan’s frightening brush with HIV while working as a research technician in a lab inspired her to enroll at the University’s School of Medicine and do more work with the HIV virus. Recently, she traveled to Zambia with UNICEF to better understand the AIDS crisis in Africa and to help numbers of impoverished, sick Zambians. She writes about her sobering trip in Elle Magazine as their UNICEF emissary.
