Alcohol, Other Drugs, and Health: Current Evidence is a free online newsletter summarizing the latest clinically relevant research on substance use and health. Through summaries of important alcohol and other drug research published in peer-reviewed journals, downloadable teaching presentations, and feature articles on substance use research ethics, the newsletter provides valuable information to improve clinical teaching, practice, and research. AOD Health is supported by the Grayken Center for Addiction at Boston Medical Center.

Meet John Fomeche, MD, our 2025 ACAAM/AOD Health Rich Saitz Editorial Intern!

Dr. Fomeche is an Addiction Medicine Fellow at Yale University and a recent graduate of  Stamford Hospital Internal Medicine Residency. Born in Cameroon and raised in Arizona, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona and studied abroad in Singapore before attending medical school in Poland. These experiences across continents shaped his global perspective on health, equity, and patient care.
