William (Bill) Kahn is Professor of Management and Organizations and Everett W. Lord Distinguished Faculty Scholar at Boston University Questrom School of Business. He earned his PhD in psychology from Yale University in 1987. He teaches, publishes, and consults on the creation of effective relations within and between groups in organizations, both those that reflect people’s roles and those that reflect their identities. He conducts action research in various types of organizations that are striving for transformation and change. As an educator and consultant, Bill focuses on the application of useful concepts and ideas, with the aim of enabling leaders and members to effectively change how they collaborate within and across groups and hierarchical levels. Bill publishes in a wide variety of academic journals; his books include Holding Fast: The Creation of Resilient Caregiving Organizations and The Ostrich Effect: Solving Destructive Patterns at Work.
