Kimberly Bertrand, ScD, is assistant professor at the Boston University School of Medicine and epidemiologist at the Slone Epidemiology Center at Boston University. Dr. Bertrand’s current research efforts focus on understanding racial disparities in cancer incidence and outcomes, primarily for breast cancer. She is a coinvestigator with the Black Women’s Health Study, a prospective cohort study of over 59,000 African American women begun in 1995. In addition to breast cancer, other areas of research interest include the epidemiology of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and multiple myeloma.
