Alex LaSalvia is the Digital Producer at The Emancipator. He makes sure every piece from our wonderful contributors can shine, both on our website and across social media. With a background as a reporter, he finds the news hook in academic pieces and the antiracist angle in current events.
Alex graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Journalism and a minor in Environmental Analysis & Policy. He’s grateful for his time at The Daily Free Press, BU’s independent student newspaper, for teaching him everything he needed to start his journalism career. Alex lives in Somerville where he relives his glory days as a barista with his at-home espresso machine.
