Fallon Murphy’s paper, “Incarcerated People’s Utilization of Native Son in Court: Naturalism as a a Tool for Resistance, 1940-1945,” was accepted to the American Literature Association’s conference. She will be on a panel about African American Literature and Culture in May.

Jesse Dritz to Give “Spotlight Talk” at the Boston Athenaeum
Jesse Dritz (PhD Student) will be giving a “spotlight talk” at the Boston Athenaeum for a program in collaboration with 10×10 Photobooks. The program is titled, What They Saw: Historical Photobooks by Women, 1843-1999, a hands-on reading room exhibition. Jesse’s talk will be about Abigail Heyman’s 1974 book, Growing Up Female.
